But there’s more! Winners who attend Writercon 2009 this summer in Minneapolis will receive a special surprise featuring their design.

The rules are simple, but please read them all to make sure your entries are considered:

* Include the words “Writercon 2009: Writing Between the Lines” somewhere on your icon.

* Submit up to three entries per fandom to info@writercon.com by October 31. Be sure to identify the fandom each icon represents. Remember: You can enter icons for as many different fandoms as you wish, but you may submit only three entries per fandom. If you submit more than three icons for each fandom, the judges will consider only the first three you submit for each fandom. No entries will be accepted after October 31, 2008.

* Entries will be posted on the Writercon Live Journal November 10, and voting will open to the public at that time for one week. Everyone will have a chance to choose the official icon for each fandom. Artists will not be identified during the voting period.

Winners will be announced November 17 and winning icons will be posted at that time.

All fandoms are welcome. Good luck!

Writercon is an organization of fanfic writers and readers, created by fanfic writers and readers. We come from dozens of different fandoms and write in every genre. We come from dozens of fandoms and write in every genre. During Writercon, we gather to discuss the art and craft of fan fiction. Some of us want to learn how to write more and better fan fiction. Others look forward to meeting up with fellow writers and readers to exchange ideas and offer support. All of us, those who have participated in numerous fandoms and those who were only recently drawn into the world of fanfiction, are welcome.
